Key helped Lisa*,15, who struggled with anxiety and low self-esteem and had not attended school for over two years.
She was referred to us for help building confidence, making friends and simply to have someone neutral to talk to.
Over a series of outings with our Family Intervention Officer, Lisa grew more comfortable and with this additional emotional support felt able to open up about her anxiety and confront some of her issues.
She built on this positive progress by going on to enrol on a training programme, with a local community interest company, designed to take vulnerable learners on the journey to employment, with a focus very much on supporting emotional development. This is something she would simply not have had the confidence to do prior to Key’s involvement.
