KEY Project is closely monitoring the escalating situation regarding the COVID-19 pandemic and following government advice as it is issued.
Our priority is to maintain service provision where possible while protecting the health and wellbeing of our young people, staff, volunteers, partner organisations and the wider public.
As of Tuesday 17 March, we have put in place the following measures in response to the escalating situation:
• Our Baring Street office will be closed to members of the public
• No guests allowed at our supported accommodation properties
• All staff to cancel external meeting unless it is a necessity
• No meetings with external partners to be held at any KEY office
• Administration staff to work remotely where possible
• Only essential maintenance to be carried out at properties
However, we understand that during these uncertain times the need for us to continue to deliver our projects is greater than ever and with that in mind we are creatively reimagining how we can continue to deliver our usual services.
Firstly, let us reassure all of you that our main services are continuing to function albeit in a different way.
Prevention, Mediation and Intervention: group mediation and school drop ins have been postponed until further notice.
We are still providing a phone service to all our families on a day to day basis. We are also introducing group mediation using Zoom conferencing (if families have the appropriate hardware smart phones or laptop) to ensure we can continue to keep families together.
Additionally, we are still working with our statutory partners to ensure any young person who presents as homeless is found a safe and secure place to stay.
Supported Accommodation: Our properties remain fully operational and at capacity and are following current legislative guidelines around health and safety.
Tenancy Support: No home or office visits with a client unless in an Emergency Situation. All clients being contacted daily with video calling being offered.
All our staff have full access to emails during this time should you need to contact us, and we will continue to keep you updated via our website and social media.
Thank you for your continued support.
