
Key to Life Foodbank is once again joining forces with South Tyneside Council to deliver the Spring Holidays Activities and Food programme to make sure children stay fed and entertained during the upcoming holidays (3-16 April).
The charity is providing free activities and nutritious meals for children and young people in the borough age 5-16 (Reception to Year 11) who are eligible for benefits related free school meals.
Once again, Key to Life will be delivering a whole load of eggstra holiday fun, thanks to its continued partnership with the New Sundial, one of South Tynesideās premier entertainment venues.
The activities and food provision will take place on selected days over the 2-week holidays.

Fun-filled crafts at Key to Life Foodbank
Key to Life will be providingĀ FREE meal kitsĀ (one meal per booked child) plus boredom busting seasonal crafts from its base at Boldon Lane Library to feed and entertain up to 30 kids per day, twice a week.
Craft activities – including sun catchers, bookmark and kite making – will be provided on a stay and play basis. In addition, each child will receive a grocery pack with all the ingredients to create a nutritious meal at home.
Sessions will take place 11am-3pm on the following dates: Tues 11, Wed 12 & Fri 14 April.
PleaseĀ note:
- All events are subject to availability & booking is essential – younger siblings welcome but require their own place
- All children must be accompanied by a parent/guardian for the duration of the session (tickets need only be booked for children)
- If after booking you can no longer attend, please call us on 07833 613 393 so we can offer your place(s) to another family

Jam packed entertainment at the New Sundial
Key to Life and the New Sundial, are teaming up to provide an additional seafront based offering this springā a whole load of fun filled activities and entertainment plus hot meal (one meal per booked child)Ā to feed and entertain up to 40 kids per day, twice a week.
Kids will have a whale of a time enjoying crafts and games and taking part in performing arts or dance sessions or activities led by Ranger Jane’s Beach School or Captain Raggy Beard Storytelling!
Sessions will take place 10am-2pm on the following dates:
Captain Raggy Beard – Mon 3 & Wed 12 April
Ranger Jane – Tues 4 & Thurs 13 April
Christina Dawson (performing arts & drama) – Wed 5 April
Jessica Elizabeth Porter (dance class) – Tues 11 April
PleaseĀ note:
- Events will be taking place in the upstairs function room accessible by staircase only
- All events are subject to availability & booking is essential – younger siblings welcome but require their own place
- All children must be accompanied by a parent/guardian for the duration of the session (tickets need only be booked for children)
- Please arrive promptly for 10am as latecomers may not be admitted
- If after booking you can no longer attend, please contact the event organiser via Eventbrite so we can offer your place(s) to another family
