KEY2Life Foodbank has been awarded a £480 Supporting Communities grant from Asda Foundation to provide additional support for communities through lockdown in the form of essential food items.
Each year, Asda Foundation support grass roots organisations to transform communities and improve lives of people throughout the UK, complementing Asda Stores’ ambition to be at the heart of local communities, through building long-term community resilience and being there in times of crisis.
Receiving the grant, Marie Burnett, Team Leader at KEY2Life Foodbank, said: “We’re delighted to receive these items and very grateful for Asda Foundation’s generous support. Our KEY2Life Foodbank has seen a 310% increase in demand for emergency food parcels during the pandemic so the additional provisions will make a big difference for those we support.”
