Building young people’s confidence and self-esteem, giving them the building blocks on which to plan healthy, productive and purposeful lives and make informed choices about their future is all focussed on seeing them move on in a positive way.
We measure our impact by seeing our young people thrive and succeed in their lives. Our goal is to unlock their potential and prepare them to live independently.

It’s vital to break the cycle of homelessness by helping young people maintain housing stability.
We offer a range of support to help young people develop the skills and experience they need to sustain living in their own home and independently within the community.
Our team provides intensive support for clients in supported accommodation who are ready to move on to live semi-independently as well as outreach support for young people in the wider community whose tenancy is at risk.
Key provides young people at risk of homelessness in South Tyneside with a safe and stable place to call home while they receive bespoke support to move forward to independence and to achieve their full potential.
While they are with us, they’re encouraged to establish a positive daily routine, lead a healthy active lifestyle, and find something they enjoy doing to improve their prospects and sustain their independence. Participation in employment, education, or training is expected.
One-to-one, in-house, employability support gets to the core of what makes a young person tick and aims to broaden horizons and raise aspirations. It helps young people understand the different opportunities available to them and develop the skills and confidence they need to get there.
This programme will identify and support more than 30 disadvantaged young people aged 15 to 18 who are 'bright but burdened' to progress them into education, employment or training and to fulfil their potential.
